This is a members only event. If you are not a member you can join any time before the event.

Guest speaker

Alex Rowe currently works with Department of Primary Industries in the Bushfire Recovery Team where she is leading a program about preparing animals for emergencies in isolated communities. She worked as an inspector with the Animal Welfare League and was a part of the Disaster Management Unit during the bushfires of 2019-2020. She has also trained and worked with narcotics dogs with Australian Border Force and with accelerant detector dogs for investigations with the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service.

There are many lessons to be learned from the fires of 2019-2020. What should you do with livestock to maximise their chance of surviving a fire on your property? Alex will discuss planning and preparing livestock for summer and bushfire. You will be able to ask questions.
